Prime Minister witnesses the Egyptian Drug Authority’s celebration at the Grand Egyptian Museum on the occasion of receiving the World Health Organization accreditation in the pharmaceutical sector.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, attended this evening the celebration organized by the Egyptian Drug Authority at the Grand Egyptian Museum, under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, celebrating the Authority’s achievement of the World Health Organization’s “Maturity Level 3” accreditation in the pharmaceutical field.

The event was attended by Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport; Eng. Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector; and Dr. Ali El Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority.

In this context, Dr. Ali El Ghamrawy stated that Utopia Pharma was selected for recognition based on two key pillars:
the company’s significant efforts and strategic steps toward achieving international standards in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing to support its products in line with global export requirements. These efforts included preparing pharmaceutical product dossiers according to international CTD standards, as well as obtaining international accreditations for its production lines.

In addition, the company was recognized for its outstanding export performance, being among the top exporting pharmaceutical companies in 2024, along with the remarkable growth achieved in its export rates during the same year.

At the conclusion of the celebration, the Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority extended his gratitude to all Authority employees for their distinguished efforts that contributed to this unprecedented achievement. He also expressed his pride in working alongside such an exceptional group of leaders and professionals, emphasizing that the Egyptian Drug Authority possesses world-class human capabilities and that the coming period will witness further advancement in performance and quality standards.
